What Every Entrepreneur Overlooks (Until It’s Too Late)

If no one is paying attention to your business, content, or brand—this might be why.

Most people think making money online is about having the right idea or working harder. But after years of trial and error, I realized something bigger was missing.

Let me take you back to where it all started…

I used to be a rather shy kid—still am in some ways—but I’ve always looked for ways to make a quick buck. I learned programming to try and make an income, failed, but picked up a few valuable lessons. Then I turned to writing to document my journey toward independence.

Why? Because I never found anyone openly sharing this process. I want to guide you using everything I’ve learned—both from successes and failures. And just recently, I realized the biggest thing every entrepreneur starting out overlooks.

Giving Value. Building Trust.

There’s one more key element, but I’ll cover that in a bit.

The way I see things now, I don’t view potential clients as just customers. Instead, I see them as friends or people who need a real solution to a problem. Right now, you’re probably thinking about how to reach your goal—whether it’s growing your brand, becoming a successful writer, or something else—but you might not know how to get there.

And that’s the key thing most people miss. Whatever you do, it must solve something for your “friend.”

  • If they’re bored, your content should provide entertainment.

  • If they’re dealing with loss, your words should bring closure.

  • If they have questions, your work should give them answers.

Your job is to figure out what those questions are.

You start by doing this for free. No strings attached. Why? To build trust. Then, once they trust you enough, they’ll be willing to pay for your solutions.

If you take a step back and look at this very email, you’ll see how I’m doing exactly that:

  1. Sharing my story.

  2. Telling you the lessons I’ve learned.

  3. Giving you a solution.

All to build trust.

But remember when I mentioned that extra thing every entrepreneur and content creator misses?

Marketing.

Without marketing, how will anyone know about your product or solution? It’s like expecting someone to have a huge social circle when all they do is stay at home reading 24/7.

There are countless ways to market yourself. So far, I’ve tried:

  • Facebook Groups

  • Reddit

  • Medium.com (writing platform)

  • TikTok

  • YouTube

  • Instagram

As you can tell, I’m putting myself out there. The more eyeballs that see me, the more problems I can help solve—just like I’m doing with this email.

So if you have an idea or business, start now. Share it with the people who need the solution you’re offering.

That’s all for today! I’ll be emailing you every Wednesday and Saturday with new marketing insights and data. Stay tuned!
